Hey Everybody!!!
I defenity have to say that the two insights that I gained are my knowledge about the campus. Its crazy how I feel that I have been here for years. Thats good though Because not I know that I atleast wont be lost on the first day of class. I also learned so much other stuff like how to research, how to write a good paper. I defenitly made awsome friends here... Yup you all know who you are...haha... Peace and Love for everyone. ...
For me some of my challenges good have to be being able to manage school.. with working full time... Howevver I will difinetly not let work get between school. Because money comes and goes but the opportunity to go to school may only come once in a while...Alright well thats its for now...
Take Care Everyone... :-)

What high school did you attend? Did you like it? Why or why not?
I attended Escondido High School for four years. Although its was a very diverse school it also had many things that i did not like. The camps in general had to many gang members, trouble
makers, and many bad influences in my opinion. However, I did like how we had a lot of school spirit. Not only that but it also has amazing teachers that have helped me throughout the years.
Who has been the biggest influence on your life? How so?
My biggest influence in my life is my sister Judy. Throughout my whole life she has always encouraged me and helped me to do better than her. To not commit the same mistakes that she did. My sister attends Cal State San Marcos and currently will be a sophomore. With her going to college and seeing all what she has gained out of it, she influences me to go to college and get my degree. She has taught me that I can truly be someone in life.
What do you enjoy doing? How do you like to spend your free time?
One of the things that i enjoy doing is volunteering. I donate a lot of my time helping out the community, schools, library, etc. For the past three years I have successfully accomplished more than 450 volunteered hours (community service). My family wonders why, just as how many people do, truth is that I just love helping out. All my volunteered hours are all no pay. Besides volunteering I also like to hang out with my friends, my family, go to the beach, movies, and just exploring things like doing things that i have never done before.
Why did you choose to attend college? Did anything in particular attract you to CSUSM?
Ever since I was little I always saw my parents living of from pay check to pay check. However, we always had what we need a good shelter, good food, and clothe etc. It wasn't till a few years back that it all changed. Although all those memories of how I saw my parents struggle made me realize that, thats not the life I want. And its not the future I wanted for my little brother. This is a major influence on why I want to go to college and get a degree.
What is your major, and why are you interested in this field of study?
My major is Criminology with a minor on Sociology. Ever since I was little i've always had a spark of interest on everything that envolves a crime scene, cops, SWAT, dispatch, etc. Everything in general about crminology I love.
What are your biggest fears about college? Are they related to academics, study habits, finances, family expectations/concerns, managing your freedom, making friends, etc?
One of my biggest fears about college is a sickness that I have. For many that know what I have think its not a big deal I think it is. For the past three years I have struggled, and past through enormous amount of embaresments. The thing that I have is that my stoomach growls alot all day. And its not because im hungry or I need to eat its somethimg that I cant stop. People make alot of rude comments when they hear it think I cant hear them, well I can. So I would like to appologize in advance if it does happen, I dont mean to disturb anybody. Besides that I dont fear about class, homework, im actually excited to start college.
What are your dreams and aspirations for your future?
My dreams for the future are to finally cure the sickness that I have. Also to get my masters on Criminology and a minor on Sociology. Have a good well paid job.
